Slide-Lok poised for additional expansion through licensing agreement with NASCAR Canada for home and garage storage
Phoenix, AZ – January 15, 2008 – Slide-Lok, the industry leader in home and garage storage, has been granted licensing and distribution rights for their top quality plywood garage cabinets, garage flooring, Slat-Wall and closet systems throughout Canada. Slide-Lok now has approval to use the popular NASCAR bar logo in conjunction with the top drivers' signatures and car numbers as a secondary brand for their new Slide-Lok Racing Garage product line set to debut in February 2008 in both the United States and Canadian markets.
This latest licensing contract complements the existing agreement with NASCAR, encompassing the continental U.S., which already includes the top drivers who participate in NASCAR-sanctioned events. Slide-Lok's much anticipated Racing Garage will showcase the names, numbers, color schemes, and signature logos of the top drivers who participate in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series incorporated into Slide-Lok's patented, plywood garage cabinets, Slat-Wall systems and inlaid into Slide-Lok's garage floor coating.
Slide-Lok president, Brian Strayer, stated, "Extending our licensing rights into Canada was extremely important to us. We are committed to supporting our Canadian dealer network and aggressively expanding our presence even further throughout Canada. NASCAR's popularity in Canada is growing fast, so securing these additional rights for our Canadian dealer network has been a part of our plan from the beginning."
Slide-Lok marketing director, Jason Jantzen, added, "Canadians clearly enjoy the sport of NASCAR, and expanding our licensing rights into Canada so that our dealer network can take advantage of the surging popularity of NASCAR throughout Canada is a natural progression for us."
In separate agreements, announced in prior press releases, Slide-Lok has also acquired licensing property rights from NASCAR as a secondary brand and several of the top racing teams including Richard Childress Racing, Roush-Fenway Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing. The company is expected to announce details related to additional licensing agreements, expanding Slide-Lok's rights with top NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers beyond those already announced.
